PIERCING CARE

The laser tattoo removal process is a simple procedure, but to ensure an optimal result, the aftercare is of utmost importance and must be treated with care.
Here we will give you some recommendations that will help you avoid negative side effects, such as scabs and blisters that often appear.
Recommendations to take into account after the process of
laser tattoo removal
The laser itself should not leave any marks or scars, although they are a risk if you do not take proper aftercare or if your skin is sensitive to the procedure. If you take care of yourself and follow these recommendations, you should not have to worry about scarring; in addition, your skin will heal more effectively and with better results per session.
-
At TDR, we apply an adhesive bandage over the tattoo area after treatment. This bandage will help moisturize the area, prevent infection, prevent scabbing, and minimize the risk of blistering. This bandage should be left on for 5-7 days. After using this bandage, keep the skin open to air as it is important to allow ventilation.
-
The use of treatment ointments is one of the most important. At TDR, we include an ointment that you should apply three times a day on the skin where the tattoo was during the second week (after removing the adhesive bandage). Between each application of ointment, it will be important to wash the area well with neutral soap and dry with a clean towel, pressing gently on the area and without dragging immediately after washing.
-
During the healing period, you may experience blisters. This is part of the healing process and can last four to six days. We recommend that you do not pick at any scabs or blisters that appear; let them fall off naturally. Removing them before they are ready can put you at risk for infection, causing your skin to not heal properly.
-
The use of regenerating ointments is also important for the proper care of second-degree burns resulting from laser tattoo removal. We recommend applying a light layer of cream twice a day during the third and fourth week after the laser session.
-
It is recommended to avoid beaches, swimming pools, spas, saunas, and hot tubs until the scabs and blisters heal. Bacteria present in the water could cause infection, preventing proper wound healing.
-
It is important to avoid exposure to the sun or UVA rays in the treated area for at least 15 days after each session and always use sunscreen.
If you experience any of the above-mentioned discomfort, see a doctor immediately.
